What to expect

This is like your classic walking tour full of interesting stories and a smattering of history, but each stop is paired with a slice of cheese.Think a cracking blue cheese when we talk about the impact of the canal network, or a smoked cheddar when we explore the industrial revolution.

Tell us about the cheese

All the cheeses are sourced from Lancashire and Yorkshire, ideally from small independent makers. Without sounding too Nigella Lawson, a good cheese board should be a journey... we'll sample everything from a classic Wensleydale through to more experimental blues and smoked cheddars.

Who runs these tours?

Matt - he grew up locally, is a history geek, loves cheese, and worked as a tour guide in London before moving "home". That's him in the rather dashing yellow shirt.

And... why would I come to this?

You like cheese, history, getting outdoors, and doing something a little bit different. Or because someone bought you this as a gift. Either way you get cheese.
